The child poses Balasana

This exercise of yoga Balasana is also known as child pose which involves the strengthening of the spinal cord and helps in releasing of the lower back area.

This pose of yoga is also used for the warming up of body. It is the pose of rest for the bending of back. It is used for the relaxation of your head and weights up your body from head to heel.

How to perform this pose of Balasana?

Following under lined steps should be kept in mind while you are performing Balasana and it should be performed with all the precautionary measures

  • The first step for performing this pose of yoga is to maintain the position of your hands.
  • Now sit on your heels and make the upper part of your body to relax on the thighs.
  • Now keep your forehead on the ground.
  • The next step is to place your arms in a position which is next to your body and is in opposite direction to your feet.
  • Make the direction of your palm as they are facing in direction upwards
  • Now exhale by releasing your hips and heels and you will feel the straightening of the spinal cord.
  • Retain this position and make the body to remain in it for two minutes.
  • Now inhale and make yourself being released from the pose.
